Cinematography Breakdown- Walmart WFS
Last year I got the opportunity to DP a brand video for Walmart’s shipping service. This gave me a chance to exercise my interview lighting skills.
Interview setup 1: Lighting
Starting off we blacked out the windows camera left so we didnt get any daylight spill. For our key we went with a Aputure 600d and octobank softbox (grid for control). Camera right we used some negative fill for contrast, Amaran 200d for our backlight and a Aputure 300x with spotlight/gobo attachment hitting the jewelry cases in the background.
Interview Lighting Setup 2:
For this setup, we were in a small office space with a big window camera left looking into a hallway. Motivating the light from the window we pushed a 600c through Bleached muslin for our key. Camera left we used some negative fill to create a downside and for the backlight was a Amaran 200x or D bouncing straight into the ceiling.
Interview Lighting Setup 2:
Camera left, our key light was the 600c Pro going through Magic Cloth. This gave us a very big soft spread. Camera right we added some negative fill with a floppy, our background slash on the boxes was a Aputure 300d with a spotlight mount.
